The Children’s Aid Society, Southern PA District Church of the Brethren has announced the selection of Eric M. Chase, MS of York Township as its new executive director. The selection was made after a regional search and selection process.
“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” reported Eli Mast, Children’s Aid Society Board President. “Eric will bring leadership and creativity to the programs at the Children’s Aid Society. He has served nonprofits at all program, fundraising, executive and leadership levels, and has a breadth of perspective and experiences.”
Chase’s resume includes over 25 years of executive planning, administration, communications, marketing, fundraising, and family counseling experience in the nonprofit sector. He holds a Bachelors degree in psychology, a Master of Science degree in Counseling Education and is currently working on a Masters of Divinity degree. Eric has served on executive staff of several local Boy Scout of America Councils for the past 18 years. Prior to his work with the scouts he served as the Director of Prevention Services, In-patient Drug & Alcohol Family Counselor, out-patient D& A Counselor, College Counselor for D&A, Assistant student Activity Director, Resident Life Coordinator for D&A, and Resident Director. He also has served as an interim pastor and has served as a board member of several nonprofit organizations over the years.
