Celebrating 99 years of service to children and their families

In 1913, Children’s Aid Society (CAS) started as an outreach of the Southern Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren that promoted  rescuing neglected, dependent and orphaned  children.  Soon thereafter,  CAS began offering foster care services and opened a children's home in Carlisle, PA.  As times changes Children’s Aid Society adapted it focus on meeting the needs of children.  CAS has been able to operate three centers that address children and child-parent relationships.

Make a Difference in the Lives that Follow

Ten Ways to Leave a Legacy

Prepare a will.  Without a will, you lose control over how and to whom your property is distributed.

Leave a gift in your will for the charities that made a difference in your life.  Imagine the positive impact on our community if everyone donated to a favorite cause.

Leave a percentage of your estate or a specific dollar amount to your favorite charity.

Consider giving assets.  These include cash, GIKs, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, art, jewelry and vehicles.

Name your favorite charity as owner and beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, or purchase a new policy.

Learn more about charitable gift annuities and how they could provide you with income during your lifetime, while ultimately benefiting a charity.

Talk to your favorite charity about their needs and your interest in leaving a legacy.  This will insure that your money is used in a productive way.

Remember loved ones with memorial gifts.

Encourage family and friends to leave gifts to favorite charities in their wills.

Ask your financial advisor to include charitable giving as part of counsel to clients.
