The many services offered through Children’s Aid Society cover many issues, including:

 

· Sexual, physical, or emotional abuse        

 

· Feelings of depression, low self-esteem, anxiety

 

· Significant loss, such as death of a loved  one

 

· Behavior problems at home or school

 

· ADHD, learning, or developmental disabilities

 

· Family conflict

 

· Separation and divorce

 

· Challenges associated with chronic medical disorders                                                    

 

· Lack of parenting skills

 

Community Collaborations

 

The Children’s Aid Society works with many organizations and individuals I the community to improve the quality of life for children at risk for emotional and mental health disorders.   We also work with the parents of those children to offer support and teach them constructive parenting skills.   A few of the organizations and individuals we work with are:

· Lincoln Intermediate Units

 

· York County Children & Youth

 

· York County MH-MR

 

· York County Prison

 

· Schools

· Other organizations in the community that deal with high risk children
